Establishing great relationships with tourist guides
Summit founder, director and most executive chauffeur of chauffeurs, Rehan Jamil recently joined the members of the British Guild of Tourist Guides at their annual conference to demonstrate how a collaborative partnership can work. From this event, there have sprung interesting conversations and meetings where relationships have developed in line with the ethos of a British Tourist Guide member – client centric with service excellence.
Having great working relationships with people who understand and follow your own ethos in the care of your customers is essential in partnership.
First contact & using the chauffeur booking portal
Tourist Guides may become aware of The Summit Chauffeurs through various means – that could be through meeting at conferences and events, social media, the website or through word of mouth from our network of chauffeurs and tour guides across Oxfordshire and beyond (that’s probably the one!). However, you find us, making first contact is always met with a quick response and an understanding of your needs – we’ve been in the business for 14 years now…

The online chauffeur booking portal went live at the end of 2022 to make us available 24/7 for bookings and to give our clients; executive assistants, home managers, PAs and tour guides for example the chance to manage their own booking.
End to end care
Once a chauffeur booking is confirmed, you can trust that all details are kept highly confidential and only discussed between those directly involved in delivering the service.
We see many high net and very high net worth individuals and their families about to embark on a luxury private tour of the Oxfordshire attractions, who expect an equally luxurious transfer service. From airport transfers, sea port, helipad or home – you can trust The Summit to provide a stylish, comfortable car service.
Live tracking
Whilst the live tracking service is more often used by parents of children and young people heading off to boarding school or college, it is a useful service for tourist guides so you can be on-point with the delivery of your own excellent service.
When there is coordination required between two parties, live tracking of your guests journey can make all the difference.
24 hour response
Along with the ever-available booking portal and live journey tracking, our office is open between 6:00 and 23:00 with an out of hours number for emergencies, but our chauffeurs can be driving at any time of day or night as our service never stops. We don’t take time off for Christmas, New Year, Easter, Diwali, Ramadan or any other observed holidays. As Rehan says, ‘No down times, no stopping, except for red lights and beautiful sunsets!’
