Have you noticed, everyone’s talking about AI?! It made me think about what ‘artificial intelligence’ actually is and how it can be put to use in my chauffeur business. So here goes…
Defining AI
Most people would define artificial intelligence as the science of making a machine think like a human, that uses information to produce solutions in the way a human would – machines behaving as humans. And they’re not wrong, although rather than thinking about self-driving chauffeur driven cars, I’m thinking more about automated emails… If that’s the case, then AI has been around for decades and most of us are already using it in our day to day lives. But what can AI do for my chauffeur business?
AI in chauffeuring
I can think of many ways in which AI can take a positive role in my chauffeur business, and mostly already does:
- My booking portal and automated emails are able to support my clients through a smooth booking and acknowledgement process
- ChatGPT could be used to help me formulate writing, and image generators can illustrate it
- Route planning allows me to work out timings without having to do complicated and lengthy calculations
- Traffic updates in real time help me avoid congestion and accidents, which helps my clients stick to their agenda
- Geolocation tracking gives my clients, and their teams live updates on whereabouts and expected times of arrival
- On board diagnostics (telematics) prevents unnecessary damage to my vehicles and enables me to make informed decisions on maintenance timetables
- My Mercedes has the Distronic and 360 cameras giving me live traffic evaluations
- Adaptive cruise control, as in my BMW can be useful on long predictable stretches of the journey
- Driver licence checking. You can use the DVLA website to get information on chauffeurs’ drivers licences, but there are also apps that allow the checks to be made from a scan of the document. This save stime as you keep this scan on record anyway
- Even automatic lights and windscreen wipers that react to low light and rain can ‘think like a human’. They will react to the light outside, or traffic volume and switch from side lights to full lights, low beam to high beam, and wipers change speed according to the heaviness of the rain.
I’m on board with AI in my chauffeuring business and am interested in trying out new applications as they emerge. I personally use AI to do research and risk assessments for security conscious guests, whether they are royalty, or high net worth guests, it makes my service invaluable to them.
Choose a chauffeur with real life intelligence!
The header image of this blog is generated by AI, and I think it looks great, although I’d never claim to have parked my vehicles in these stunning locations – that wouldn’t make me an honest chauffeur! But that’s a bit of fun.

I take being an executive chauffeur incredibly seriously, and while I use AI for many applications in my business, it really needs someone with real-life intelligence to analyse it and apply it sensibly, with knowledge and understanding of its intention.
If you’re an intelligent executive assistant or corporate travel manager, looking to engage with an intelligent executive chauffeur, I’d love to hear from you. We can talk about AI in our businesses, or how I can best serve your needs.
